Dan Workman of SugarHill Studios named 2010 Only in Houston Award Winner
On Saturday, February 13, 2010, Only in Houston will present
their fourth annual Only in Houston Award to Dan Workman of SugarHill Recording
Studios.
We are honoring Dan for helping bring untold favorable
publicity, attention and honor to the City of Houston and his industry through
his creative talents as a world-class audio engineering and music producer as
well as his ownership of Houston's premiere state-of-the-art music recording
studio.

Studios is the "Abbey Road of the South". Believed to be the oldest
continuously operating recording facility in the US, SugarHill has played host
to a great many recording artists and their hits in its 69 year history.
Dan Workman has brought untold favorable publicity,
attention and honor to the City of Houston through his creative talents as a
world-class audio engineering and as a much sought after music producer.
As owner of SugarHill
Recording Studios, Dan has
entertained many stars of the music world and has brought global attention and
recognition to the City of Houston and "the Houston Sound.".
Dan's
and SugarHill 's list of clients is a virtual "Who's Who" of
international recording artists including Lightnin' Hopkins, The Rolling
Stones, Johnny Winter, George Jones, Willie Nelson, Ted Nugent, Todd Rundgren,
Selena, Janis Joplin, Asleep at the Wheel, Destiny's Child, and Beyonce.
Dan's most recent
undertaking, "Live from SugarHill." is an ongoing, live, online music
program promoting the eclectic variety of emerging artists that comprise the
Houston music scene.
On February 13, 2010, Only in Houston, a committee of the
American Advertising Federation-Houston, will present its 2010 Only in Houston
Award to Dan Workman, in appreciation of the superior creativity, passion and
recognition that he has brought to his art, his industry and the City of
Houston.
