Richard "Rich" Clinton Witmer Richard "Rich" Clinton Witmer, died in his sleep early in the morning Dec. 2 at his home in Point Venture, Texas. Mr. Witmer was born Aug. 20, 1929 to the late Neva M. Barnhizer and Clinton M. Witmer in Rockford, Illinois. Former resident of Houston (1963-87), Mr. Witmer lived in Point Venture, Texas from 1987 to 2009. He was a member of several chapters of Lions Club International, Lago Vista Volunteers Inc. and was a long-time supporter of the arts. He was a member of the Hill Country Singers, led a men's choral group, the Lakeside Singers, and was a member of Rolling Hills Community Church in Lago Vista. Mr. Witmer is preceded in death by his wife, Gay Witmer, and his sister Beatrice M. Witmer. He is survived by four daughters, two sons, 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorial services are set for 12:00 p.m., Dec. 12 at Rolling Hills Community Church at 6201 Lohman Ford Road in Lago Vista. Dr. Gary Olsen will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Austin chapter of the American Heart Association or Rolling Hills Community Church.
