Ford Fiesta Movement results prove Zenfilm on top of their game.

June 20, 2010 - Houston, Texas

For Immediate Release

While the final points have not been tallied to determine the grand-prize winning city for the National Ford Fiesta Movement, the results are in for the film competition!

Pause," the short time-twisted romance film by Zenfilm has taken 2nd place in the national Ford Fiesta Movement film competition. The competition included two teams from LA, two teams from NYC, two teams from Chicago and nearly a dozen other markets. The film was written and directed by Zen's W. Ross Wells and lensed by DPs Raul Casares and Hank Schyma, with considerable support from the Zen team and from Fiesta Movement Team Houston.

Team Houston, comprised of Amber Roussel of Ah-Ha! Creative and Mark C. Austin of Mark C. Austin Photography, have taken on this national interactive marketing campaign with a big heart and lots of community spirit. They have turned the Fiesta Movement into a national marketing blitz for Houston, its arts, its music, its fashion... and its film. Team Houston has also raised thousands of dollars for local non-profit, Noah's Kitchen.

In Mission One, Team Houston worked with Spacetaker.org and artist Anthony Thompson Shumate to create an artistic mural of the city's best-kept secrets. Team Houston took first place in this mission over all competing cities.

In Mission Two, Team Houston gathered a star-studded collection of local Houston bands for a "Battle of the Bands" showcase that packed Warehouse Live, generated hundreds of FourSquare check-ins and stood up to the competition. Team Houston won Mission Two as well, sending Houston recording artist Tyagaraja to Bonnaroo to perform alongside headliners The Flaming Lips, Stevie Wonder and many more.

Mission Three put the spotlight on design and Houston graphic artist Molly Rodriguez. Molly created Houston-inspired designs for Roxy Surfwear. With this project Team Houston highlighted more of Houston's amazing creative talent and through an "i heart Houston" campaign collected an inspiring 21,000 RSVP votes of support.

The Zenfilm team was honored to be included in the Mission Four film competition. In partnership with Filmaka, the mission was a challenge and a chance to promote Houston to the rest of the world. From the beginning of the project, each mission built on the success of the preceding mission. Mission 4 would be no exception. A talented team of Houston filmmakers, actors, musicians, media professionals, photographers... you name it... came together to create "Pause". "The film  was written and directed by Zenfilm's W. Ross Wells. Extensive production and logistics support was provided by the Houston Film Commission and Mark C. Austin of Team Houston.

The production went from script to screen in 10 days and screened to a full house along with Nicholas Stoller's "Get Him To The Greek" on June 8th in Houston. "Pause" was awarded second prize on June 18th by the Ford Fiesta Movement judges and received high marks for original story, overall production quality and creative use of the Ford Fiesta. Because of its quality, the film will be featured in an upcoming special on Current TV.

With the stiff competion going into Mission 4, there were many in the national movement that said Houston's chances were not promising. First place in the mission went to Team Boston, a tough-to-beat YouTube sensation with hundreds of thousands of followers. With solid work from the filmmakers in Boston, NYC, LA, Philly, Chicago, Orlando, Denver, Phoenix, Seattle, Detroit, Brooklyn and more, Zenfilm is honored to have won the number two slot. An even bigger honor is to have worked so closely with our community to broadcast the sights and sounds of H-Town to a whole new audience.

In the days to come, it will be revealed if Team Houston will bring home the grand prize in the Fiesta Movement to H-Town. If that happens, they have pledged to donate a free Ford Fiesta to local non-profit Noah's Kitchen, making their work of delivering meals to Houston's homeless a little bit brighter. What we do know is that Amber and Mark have given every major city in the USA a run for their money and have created countless positive impressions of Houston and its creative community around the world.
