What do you do when Hurricane Ike and a city-wide curfew forces you to cancel the first eight performances of your season-starting sold out show? How do you manage the stranded actors, the lost revenues, your relations with City Hall, and most of all, all those angry customers? David Greiss, Director of Sales & Marketing for Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) will explain how TUTS handled all this in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike and share what he learned about Marketing In A Crisis.
Register online at http://www.regonline.com/crisismarketing David, a graduate of The University of Houston with a BFA in Theatre, has a long history with Theatre Under The Stars. A first year alumnus of the Humphreys School of Musical Theatre in 1972, David went on to perform in over 20 TUTS productions. After nearly 20 years in the travel business, he returned to his passion for theatre, joining TUTS in 1996 as the Group Sales Manager. In 2001, David accepted the position of Director of Sales and Marketing, bringing together under one title Marketing, PR, and the new Encore boutique in the Hobby Center.
