able to successfully launch an experience based campaign both on and
off the court.
How can you better engage your customers and cut
through the clutter of traditional marketing mediums? Experience based
marketing offers this opportunity by enhancing your customers'
experience with your brand. This unique marketing strategy can also
have a positive influence on brand attitude and brand relation by
tapping into your customer's emotions of your brand.
The Houston Rockets took this approach by introducing a new
marketing campaign for the 2009-10 season to further enhance fan's
experiences with the team, even after the game was over. The most
unique aspect was the transition from a player-focused campaign to a
community-focused campaign, a strategy that is not commonly used in
sports marketing.
