In Memoriam: Chuck Singleton 

Chuck Singleton passed away this morning (04/09/2008) with advanced liver cancer in ICU at UTMB Galveston, Texas.
Chuck's artistry was acknowledged around the world. He created set design and lighting for Total Video's "Window to the World" and constructed movie sets such as Robocop II (1990), Sidekicks (1992) and My Best Friend is a Vampire (1988). He was a graduate of Northern Kentucky University and helped with their theater program. Survivors include his mother, Phyllis G. Ridnour Singleton.

Chuck had his photo taken with many internationally famous people who came through Total Video for live shots, guest appearances, on major networks such as CNN, CNBC, Fox News, MSNBC, Bloomberg, and news channels from Europe, Japan and China.

    I met Chuck in 1998 in Houston at the offices of Total Video of Houston. He was working there with another friend, Eric Cain. As soon as you met Chuck you became his friend. His ear-to-ear smile (surrounded by that bushy beard) and the glint in his eye were ever present. He was always willing to help, always willing to give. When you would talk about set construction or props he REALLY came to life. He was a MacGyver and an artist bundled into one. Most of all, he was clever. He co
